Poem: Cats

Black or white

Ginger or brown

Rulers of the house or town

Followers of nobody

Leaders on their own

Scavengers all fighting fit

Powerful and cruel

Hunting, playing

Chasing, hiding

Always on the prowl

Seeking lonely solace

Then crying with a howl

Michele Fry has two cats called Jason and Tom. She likes writing animal poems, love poems and ones about nature.

  1. Some good descriptions here – I love cats too, and I could certainly recognise mine in this poem!
