Poem: Kidz

Amelia Jane

Is rather a pain

Her tantrums upset her poor mother

Quite frazzled she’ll yell:

You make my life hell!”

Why can’t you be more like your brother?”

For Timothy’s sweet

He always looks neat

And his bedroom is always kept tidy

His straight As surpass

Everyone in the class

He wins a gold star every Friday

Perhaps this explains

Why Amelia Jane’s

Behaviour is always so trying

Her blatant objection

To Timmy’s perfection

Translates into screaming and crying

So mothers take heed

If ever you need

To avoid dealing with such a nightmare

Don’t praise one, not the other

Like AJ and her brother

Or else you’ll end up with a right pair!
