Poem: Madness

Why are we so happy

When we should be sad

Why are we so miserable

when we should be glad

In the world around us

Aware of how we feel

Do we make a difference

Or are we both mad

Which one is a genius

Which one is a fool

How can we know anything

And live outside the rule

Where then are we going

How are we to live

Is the world not so bad

When we’ve ourselves to give

Will tomorrow prove it

That we weren’t insane

Will the world appreciate

How much it has to gain

Have we found new feelings

Will we feel no pain

Now we are together

We have so much to gain
