Poem: The Fallen

poppy

Remembering The Fallen

Our hearts cry out in pain

A century has passed now

But the agonies remain

The millions aren’t forgotten

They did not die in vain

A part of all of us died too

When those young men were slain

We hang our heads in sorrow

And the shame of each campaign

A sea of poppies weeping

It’s Remembrance Day again
